In-Browser AI: Bringing Intelligence Directly into Your Oracle APEX Apps

Monday, June 15, 2026
04:10 PM - 05:00 PM, Red Rock 9

AI is everywhere today, but most solutions rely on costly cloud APIs that raise privacy and latency concerns. What if you could run AI directly in the browser — right inside your Oracle APEX apps — with no data ever leaving the user’s device? In this session, you’ll learn how to use in-browser AI to make your APEX applications smarter, faster, and more private. We’ll explore Google Chrome’s built-in AI capabilities and the transformers.js library to integrate powerful features such as sentiment analysis, smart rating suggestions, language translation, and image recognition — all running locally in the browser. You’ll leave with practical techniques and examples to start bringing AI-enhanced user experiences to your APEX apps today — securely, efficiently, and without external dependencies.

Oracle Agentic Solutions: OCI Gen AI Agent vs Select AI Agent

Tuesday, June 16, 2026
04:40 PM - 05:30 PM, Red Rock 4

Oracle is entering the era of agentic AI, where intelligent agents can reason, act, and collaborate autonomously across your data and applications. But what’s the difference between OCI Gen AI Agent and Select AI Agent, and when should you use each? In this session, you’ll explore both frameworks side-by-side. You’ll learn how OCI Gen AI Agent enables cloud-scale, multi-tool orchestration using the OCI Generative AI service, while Select AI Agent runs directly inside the Autonomous Database, providing secure, data-proximate intelligence. Through live examples, we’ll show how to build conversational workflows, trigger database actions, and integrate with Oracle APEX applications. Attendees will walk away understanding how these two agentic technologies complement each other — and how to choose the right one for your next intelligent solution.

Building Native-Like Mobile Applications with Oracle APEX

Wednesday, June 17, 2026
01:40 PM - 02:40 PM, Red Rock 9

Oracle APEX is powerful on any device, but mobile users expect the polish and responsiveness of native apps. In this session, learn how to transform your mobile APEX applications into native-like experiences — fast, fluid, and user-friendly. We’ll explore techniques for responsive layouts, mobile-specific UI tweaks, CSS enhancements, gestures, and animations that make APEX feel like a native iOS or Android app. You’ll also see how to leverage Progressive Web App (PWA) capabilities for offline access, installation, and notifications. If you’re building APEX apps that your users access on phones or tablets, this session will show you how to deliver the native feel — without writing a single line of Swift or Kotlin.

APEX & ORDS for DBAs & System Admins - 2026 Update

Wednesday, June 17, 2026
08:30 AM - 09:20 AM, Red Rock 6

"Hey, can you set up APEX for me? It's easy, all you do is install APEX and ORDS, and then it's ready to go!" says the developer to the DBA or system admins. Unfortunately, all too often, the answer is not "Sure!" but instead, "But what about security?" followed by "What about this, or that, or this other thing?"If you are a developer who wants to be able to answer the "What about?" or understand how APEX and ORDS (Oracle REST Data Services) work at a technical level, or a DBA/system admin who has never implemented APEX & ORDS, or an experienced DBA/system admin who would like to learn to implement APEX & ORDS in a more supportable and maintainable way, this is the session for you. You'll leave with clear step-by-step instructions for: Providing database developers with the functionality of the APEX packages and APIs without exposing your database to browsers. The correct way to allow database developers to reach out of the database to web-based resources. Finally, how to install and configure ORDS middleware (especially since the changes in ORDS implementation architecture) so that APEX applications and REST services can be served from your database. This is a 2026 update of Kscope23's Oracle APEX Top Speaker award-winning session with the latest versions of Oracle Database, Oracle APEX, and ORDS.

Expert Oracle Database Architecture Conversation & Demos

Wednesday, June 17, 2026
11:10 AM - 12:00 PM, Red Rock 8

Question: “What is the best way for a database developer to learn how Oracle really works?” My answer: “Read Tom Kyte’s Expert Oracle Database Architecture and do all the examples in the book”. Tom (and Darl, his coauthor) wrote 800 pages of content in 15 chapters explaining how Oracle actually works at a technical level; Developing Success Oracle Applications, Architecture Overview, Files, Memory Structures, Oracle Processes, Locking and Latching, Concurrency and Multiversioning, Transactions, Redo and Undo, Database Tables, Indexes, Datatypes, Partitioning, Parallel Execution, and Data Loading and Unloading. Reading all 800 pages, and then doing all the examples in the book would take quite a while, but if you have the time, I highly recommend it. If you'd like to get an overview of the things most important to developers (rather than DBAs) focusing on the things that would make a difference in a developer's day to day life, this session is for you. I'll cover the most important things for Oracle developers to be aware of and I'll also go through some of the examples from the book showing how important an understanding of what Oracle is doing for you under the covers can be.

Automating Processes with Oracle APEX and LLM Tools to Enhance Flight Operations
with Brad Cardinal, Clay Lacy Aviation

Wednesday, June 17, 2026
08:30 AM - 09:20 AM, Red Rock 9

APEX offers some great UI and components out-of-the-box. And most importantly – it allows us to create our own, easier than ever before. Often customers need their app to follow a corporate standard – colors, fonts, styles, you name it. And even a whole set of components, some of which not even available in APEX.

Join me in this session to see the steps that I usually take in such situations. How the new APEX features, such as Template Components can help and how the flexibility of the Universal Theme and the built-in utilities can be used in achieving this goal. Along the way we will discuss not only the different approaches, but also some challenges and the ways to get around them.

Bootstrapping a commercial app in Oracle APEX - worth it?

Wednesday, June 17, 2026
1:10 AM - 12:00 PM, Red Rock 6

Ever wondered what it takes to turn an idea into a commercial app? In this session, I’ll share the journey of building an AI powered one in Oracle APEX. You’ll see the lessons learned along the way - covering technical challenges, security, logging and auditing, payment processing, and user request handling. One app combining AI image generation, a custom UI, and multiple integrations. Curious about the outcome? Join us to find out what worked and what didn’t.
