Talan launches a SAP ERP offering in Belgium and Luxembourg: Proximity, Cloud, AI and responsible innovation
For more than twenty years, Talan has supported the digital transformation of businesses in Luxembourg and Belgium, with recognised expertise in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence and digital transformation. Today, the group takes a new step by officially launching a local offering dedicated to SAP ERP. Leading this initiative are Jonathan Samaras, Managing Director BeLux, and Gabriel Maraval, SAP Director. They share their roadmap with us.

"This announcement marks an important milestone for us,” explains Jonathan Samaras. “Talan has been present in Luxembourg for over twenty years with two recognised areas of expertise: data and business & digital transformation. Today, we have more than 150 employees in these fields.”
With this solid foundation and the experience of a group with over 7,000 employees in 20 countries, Talan has decided to take the plunge. The company relies on a strong partnership with SAP — Talan BeLux is a SAP Gold Partner — and has a clear ambition: to support local businesses in their digital transformation and process optimisation through SAP ERP solutions.
Meeting growing demand
The launch of this offering comes at a strategic moment.
“We are responding to growing demand from local businesses and our existing clients, who are looking for partners capable of accelerating their digitalisation,” continues Jonathan Samaras. “Our ambition is to support them in migrations to SAP S/4HANA, develop innovative applications on SAP BTP and provide local support, directly connected to our international centres of excellence.”
Proximity is indeed a key focus of this approach. The idea is to build specialised local expertise while leveraging skills developed within the group in France, Spain, Switzerland and Canada. “This is how we combine global expertise with a deep understanding of our clients’ specific challenges,” he emphasises.
Expansion in continuity
For Gabriel Maraval, this extension into BeLux is part of an already well-established international dynamic. “The group strengthened in 2024 with the acquisition of PASàPAS, which had strong SAP expertise in France, Canada, the United States and Switzerland. Since then, we have continued our development in Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Romania. Belgium and Luxembourg are a logical next step, as Talan is already recognised there in Data.”
Other projects are underway, notably in Spain and Portugal, and development paths are emerging in the medium term in North Africa and Asia-Pacific.
Cloud, AI and responsible innovation
The major trends transforming the SAP ecosystem — Cloud, Artificial Intelligence and responsible innovation — are at the heart of the offering.
“SAP has taken a major turn with S/4HANA. Today, most clients already have at least one cloud solution, whether it’s SuccessFactors, Ariba, CX or SAC Planning. The migration of legacy ERPs to the Cloud is progressing, even if some remain cautious,” observes Gabriel Maraval.
Artificial Intelligence is also a priority area. SAP is investing heavily in this field with solutions such as Joule or RPA integration. “Many companies are still in their cloud migration phase, but large groups are already moving forward with concrete use cases: process automation, user experience optimisation, time savings.”
Finally, responsible innovation is gradually taking hold. “SAP offers solutions such as SAP Sustainability Control Tower to measure carbon footprint. Adoption is still limited, but regulations are pushing companies to equip themselves,” he adds.
Priorities and ambitions
In the short term, the objective is clear: structure and strengthen the local SAP team, consolidate the partnership with the publisher and sign the first contracts in key sectors in Luxembourg.
"We also want to strengthen recognition of our expertise in SAP BI and Data Analytics, and gradually expand our know-how to all SAP solutions: S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, CX, Ariba and BTP,” specifies Gabriel Maraval.
This dynamic is based on a smooth mode of collaboration between countries.
“At Talan, there are no barriers,” he states. “Belgium and Luxembourg already collaborate with France, Switzerland and North America. Belgium is a strong hub in Data Analytics that can serve as a reference, and other countries support it on ERP or HRIS.” Jonathan Samaras sums up this approach in one motto: One Talan. “We want to offer clients a seamless and transparent experience thanks to the collaboration of our centres of excellence.”
A global and local partner
Facing local businesses, the two leaders convey a clear message. “We want to offer companies in the BeLux area an ambitious, pragmatic and responsible SAP partner, ready to meet their challenges by leveraging the expertise of our group, which has maintained a strategic collaboration with SAP for more than fifteen years,” insists Jonathan Samaras.
Gabriel Maraval stresses the long-term vision: “We want to be a sustainable partner, not just a service provider. Our role is to support clients with quality, proximity and cultural understanding. Today, we are focusing our efforts on Wallonia and Luxembourg, with an opening towards Brussels and Flanders in the future. In fact, the best is yet to come: our ambition is to be both a global partner and a local partner of proximity.”
And Jonathan Samaras adds: “With our local and international teams, we are ready to take on the challenges of businesses, particularly in Wallonia and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.”
